Four phases, each with a gate
Every engagement runs through the same four phases. The phases exist so the expensive part — the real build — only starts once cheap, fast work has proven it is worth doing.
Discovery
1–2 weeks
We find the assumption most likely to sink the project and test it first — usually data access, a third-party dependency, or the hardest edge case. Everything else waits.
Prototype
1–3 weeks
A thin, end-to-end version running on your real data and real edge cases — not a curated demo. Its job is to produce evidence, including uncomfortable evidence, before you commit to the full build.
Build
2–10 weeks
The real thing, built with AI-assisted engineering so it lands in weeks rather than quarters. Security, monitoring, tests, and recovery paths are part of the definition of done from the first commit.
Handover
1–2 weeks
You run it and we watch, then we step back. Handover has its own deliverables and acceptance criteria because a system only we can operate is not finished.

Who does Talorion AI work with?
Individuals, small businesses, and established companies — anyone with a real problem that AI could solve. That ranges from a sole trader who wants their admin automated, to a founder scoping an AI product, to an operations team that needs a custom tool their vendor will never build. The common thread is wanting something that works, not a presentation about AI.
How can you build tools cheaper than a traditional developer or agency?
We use AI-assisted engineering throughout: design, code, tests, and documentation. A senior engineer working this way produces what used to take a team, so the cost of a custom tool, automation, or internal app drops dramatically. What does not drop is the standard — everything ships with security, error handling, and documentation you would expect from a much larger budget.
Do you only advise, or do you build as well?
Both, and by the same people. Advice that never meets code is cheap to give and expensive to follow. Every strategy engagement produces at least a working prototype on your real data, and every build includes the reasoning and documentation you would expect from a strategy piece.
Which AI models and tools do you use?
Whichever fit your constraint. We work across the major AI providers and with self-hosted open models where privacy, cost, or data residency demand it. We do not resell any platform and do not take referral fees, so the recommendation is only ever about your problem.
How do engagements start, and what does the first step cost?
With an email describing what you want AI to do and where you are stuck. We reply within two working days with a candid view. If we can help, the first paid step is a short, fixed-scope discovery phase that ends in a written verdict and a costed plan — never an open-ended retainer.
Who owns what you build?
You do, entirely. Code, prompts, automations, evaluation suites, infrastructure, and documentation are delivered into your own accounts and repositories. There is no proprietary layer you have to keep paying for and no lock-in.
